Nail Love: Santa Baby...

Santa baby, just slip a sable under the tree, for me
Been an awful good girl
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight...

Inspiration from Pinterest

Come and trim my Christmas tree,
With some decorations bought at Tiffany's
I really do believe in you,
Let's see if you believe in me.

Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing,
A ring.
I don't mean on the phone,
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight...

Santa Baby is such a cute Christmas song! I've been listening to Michael Buble's new Christmas album all week and I love his rendition of that classic song. It's clever how he tweeked the song to make it more applicable to guys.

I wanted to incorporate Santa into my nails but I'm not too good at drawing so that means no Santa faces. Hopefully you guys recognize his cute little suit! I used a 3D nail art pen from Daiso to create the buttons, used a sharpie to colour in the "belt" (make sure that the polish is dry and hardened so you don't push the polish around and *gasp* end up colouring your own nail with a permanent marker) and painted on some gold for the buckle.

Red: Anna Sui 418
3D Nail Art Pen: Daiso
Gold: Anna Sui 709

Hope you liked this week's Nail Love! I had fun doing it - this week was a bit stressful for me so it was nice to look at so many pretty things :) Christmas is getting close! Are you all ready?

Nail Love: Glam as Gold

Under: Sephora Curve-aceous
Over: Revlon 121 Frostiest Pink
Over: Anna Sui 709

This week my inspirations are the rich reds and golds decorating the city in pretty ornaments and glittering lights. I think red and gold is such an elegant colour combination, bold and festive, love it!

Curve-aceous is a beautiful "opaque metallic cool candy apple", it has a great sheen to it, reminds me of the red twirl on the side of the candy cane :) I used the Frostiest Pink under the Anna Sui 709 because I wanted to add more of a beige undertone to the gold as the 709 is a light yellow-gold and I wanted a richer gold to go with the rich red underneath.

What do you think? Aren't these pictures glamorous? I love that one with Elizabeth Taylor, she is absolutely gorgeous in that gold dress and the cute Christmas-y decoration.

I hope you guys liked this week's Nail Love. I've been feeling so festive and Christmas-y and I love it! And of course, helping me get into this wonderful mood is the wonderful Christmas music! My good friend Sara burned me a CD back when we were in school of this Korean girl group called Big Mama. It's their Christmas album and I listen to it every year. If you like jazzy rhythms, beautiful voices and wonderful harmonies, they are definitely the music to listen to ♥

I hope everyone is having a wonderful December so far!

p.s. Check out my mention on cute blogger friend Emily's awesome make-up blog Make-Up By Emily! She does gorgeous make-up looks and product reviews, check it out ♥

Nail Love: Attitude en Pointe

The temperature has been consistently going down this week and all I can think of are warm wools, soft chiffon silk, and knit layers to keep me warm. There is nothing I would like to do more than to sit in front of the heater fireplace with a warm blanket, comfy leg warmers, and a nice big mug of hot chocolate.

My nails this week are a simple, creamy nude with a dash of sparkle, like the holiday magic soon to arrive at our doorsteps :)

Under: Sephora Nonfat Soy Half Caff
Over: Sephora Traffic Stopper Copper

The prima donna of this week is the Traffic Stopper Copper, a glittery coppery rose gold glitter. I really love this one! It is perfect on top of blush tones and nude shades. Nonfat Soy Half Caff is a pale milky nude shade, a perfect backdrop for the rosy gold on top. I wanted to keep the look simple and fresh, so I have applied glitter just at the tips. Reminds me of reflected light off a flickering bonfire.

I hope you liked this week's Nail Love. These pictures are so serene, pretty, feminine - perfect for the girly girl in me :)
